How To Put Movies On To PSP
My next biggest question about my favorite new toy was about how to download movies to PSP.
I had already mastered the music thing so I figured the movies wouldn't be any harder to learn. It turns out it was just slightly harder, but not too much. I'm going to share what I learned with you so you can download movies right to your own PSP just like I did.
Ready to learn how to download movies to PSP? Let's go!
Just like music, PSP uses a specific file format to play movies. Movies must be in the MP4 file format in order for PSP to be able to play them. No big deal. We can handle that little obstacle.
There are many places on the Internet to download movies for your PSP. Google Video, YouTube, VideoJug, to name a few. It's as easy as hooking up your PSP to your computer using a USB 2.0 cable, waiting for your computer to recognize the PSP as an external drive (usually E;), then saving the movie file to your computer and dragging it to your PSP.
But what if you want to use your personal DVD collection to download your favorite movies to your PSP?
That can definitely be done, but first you need to prepare because movies are huge files that use up lots of memory and space on your computer and you'll need to consider several other things regarding storage for your downloaded PSP movies, too.
Decide whether to save your movies directly onto your computer's hard drive before transferring them to your PSP or whether to save them to a portable Memory Stick or whether it would be better to use some other external storage device.
These are all very important decisions because you don't want your computer hard drive to become over crowded and stop working efficiently or possibly crash. You might even want to think about consulting your favorite local computer store professional about what they would suggest as appropriate PSP movie storage options. It certainly would be a timesaver in the end.
OK, once you've finally decided on an efficient storage option for your movies, now what do you do to get the movies onto your PSP?
Well, you'll need a USB 2.0 cable to transfer the movie files from your computer to your PSP. You probably already have one so the next tool you'll need is a program that will rip movies from DVDs onto your computer.
There are several complicated free software solutions that will do this and several moderately priced software solutions, but my best suggestion would be to use a service such as PSP Blender.com.
